Thanks to Etnies for hooking up product for the 2014, Heat Stroke Contest in Ft. Myers. With their sponsorship, we wanted to do something a little different. So between 11am and noon (during practice), we set up Etnies stickers on 5 different obstacles, and on those obstacles shot candid shots of riders utilizing each. From that hour, here are 11 of the best aesthetically pleasing shots.
By the end of the week, our three judges (Terry Donley, Scott Ehlert, and Billy Martineau) will choose their favorite photo. Difficulty of trick is not a factor, it will be based solely on the photo with the most pop. The winner will get an Etnies prize bag sent to them via mail. Considering the amount of photographers that attended, we might run the same concept during one of the FL-BMX series stops for 2015. Instead of one sole photographer, we’ll get everyone involved so that both photographer and rider (within the shot chosen) will win the prize. Stay tuned.
