David Gibson. On a very short leave between North Carolina and Lynn University in Boca, Tampa was home again for about 6 days. Although we didn’t get to ride much due to rain, we did ride this spot. Simple. Fun. The things you always find on the periphery.
Did anyone see that dude riding a jet ski down Bayshore Blvd. in Tampa a couple weeks ago? Yes, its raining that much. Most definitely the most I’ve ever seen.
In between impending monsoons, here’s six photos I shot that have been in search of home in the ether.

Did you know a bmx shoe company is run out of Florida? Actually, the first rider owned shoe company. SCG Shoes owner, Steve Caro, with an ice on the not so sturdy fence while fertilizer wafts into the humid Tampa Air.
It is rare when school is out to get a clear session at SPoT. Good news is, school is back in tomorrow, so if you get to the sessions early, you’re home free. Chad, on a rare occasion of it being dead, demonstrates a perfect rail hop T-Bog on the oversized fun box.
You can pass things 100 times and not notice the potential. Thomas found this tree laying dormant in the cut. He soon persisted to animate it via tree ride to tabe.
This was not a mellow day at SPoT. After almost shellacking a young “Rocker bike” tike, Mark Mulville boosted a bar fakie on this sometimes unforgiving qwedge.
