Mulville: Shoulder dip while dropping a hand over the hip.
For the past two years, I’ve had the honor to stop by Dave White’s house (Area 43) in San Diego for an infamous Saturday session. Things get wild, always. And the cast of legendary riders that roll through is pretty humbling for me: getting out the camera is nothing less of an honor.
This year, Mulville and I were in the area for a Profile bike shop tour. It made sense to wake up at the crack of dawn and drive 90 miles south from Riverside to Dave’s perfectly manicured yard/ramp. At 9am, we put rubber to wood, baked in the sun for 6-1/2 hours, and left actually not wanting to leave: We had to drive 3 hours north-east to Palm Desert.
Thanks to Dave White for the hospitality. Thanks to the locals for an incredibly dialed session and for being easily photogenic. Until next year…
Dave White: Pushing a nose as far as it can go.
One of the most positive dudes in bmx. Dirt Ron. Late candy bar over the spine.
Keith Treanor: Taking a break from managing the Colony bmx warehouse here in the states. One footed tooth on the extension.
Sean Yarroll: First rider in, last rider to leave. Classic flatty at 3pm.
Adam Watkins: After working at Ride Magazine 5 days a week, this is what you do on your weekend.
Mulville: Top sided Can over the hip.
Dave White: Suicide up the step up.
I asked Dirt Ron if he’d mind if I shot this nose fakie. With a giant grim, he executed 4 in a row for me. Thanks man.
Sean Yarroll: Pocket transfer just about 6 hours into the session.
Adam Watkins: Perfect One-footed invert over the hip.
Dave White: I shot this same photo last year. The ramp, the sky, and Dave’s positioning were so dialed, I had to shoot it again.
3:30pm. Closing of a dialed session.
