A couple months ago, I caught up with Vinny Navy at the Heat Stroke Jam in Ft. Myers. A positive dude to say the least, always spreading good vibes amongst the scene down there in southwestern Florida swamps.
Through his Mush Crew, he’s been promoting soft goods specific to the bmx scene. Here are a couple philosophical words about what he and he crew have going on…Follow them on IG @mushcrew

1. Mush Crew? Tell us a little about you guys? Where can riders pick up your swag?
To put it in the simplest terms possible, ‘Mush Crew’ is a group of riders who are out here havin’ fun. Thats what we want our brand to represent because having fun is the reason we started riding bikes in the first place. We have a few different shirt designs and stickers that are in stock on our website (www.mushcrew.com) and we have some more in the works right now.
2. Tell us about the Southwestern, Florida Bmx scene? Seems like a lot of good things are going on down there tucked into the corner of the state?
Alright, so the Southwest Florida scene really isn’t the strongest scene. Specifically, for what we are going for in Fort Myers, where we are based out of, there are a handful of dedicated riders out here thats for sure, but the street is very mediocre in comparison to the Tampa/Orlando spots or Miami. We manage to get out and about throughout the state when we have time off work to get our name out there and to explore new opportunities with riding, having fun and making the moves we feel that will help us develop into something bigger one day. But we really couldn’t have made it this far without the support of all our local homies throughout the years of determination and dedication to growing the BMX scene in our own unique way.
3. I really like your and Dustin’s positive and humble personalities….you guys grow up riding together?
Yeah, we all grew up riding together and its funny because we never realized how fun it was until we started pumping around on our bikes and jumping anything and everything that we could find. We knew that we could do something that makes a difference back then and now we really can because we’ve met so many amazing people and found spots that literally blow Fort Myers street out of the water. All thanks to riding bikes and having fun which is what really mattered.
