The last time Alexis Desolneux was in Tampa was in 1999. Across from the parking lot above was a punk hang out called the “Girl Haus.” And that is where we hung. We went to punk shows, and we rode bikes. Two things that we both still have very much in common.
Fast forward 15 years later. Alexis got invited to The Battle in the Rockies last weekend in Colorado Springs. After four days of weather averaging 15 degrees, he flew to Tampa for the last leg of his trip to enjoy a much more subtle climate. And on those four days, we spent a good portion of it in several different parking lots. I’m not going to lie, I love Flat. Love watching it, love shooting it. The pleasure was all mine.
