2/3 of the SPoT street course is finished for 2014-2015. Rumor has it, they’re building a new, permanent cement course in between the buildings as well (due to be finished at the end of November). That would be the left over, 1/3 component that we’re waiting on. To say the least, It’s been a good year for Tampa.
A couple weeks ago, during a week long bout with rain, I met up with Spencer Foreman for a solid 2-1/2 hour bowl session. Within the session, I realized the SPoT Bowl is the only thing that has not been changed in 14 years at the park. It’s pretty timeless to say the least.
The six walls of the bowl are absolutely consistent. Perfect tranny. And except for the occasional bout of slipperiness during winter, always smooth.
Here’s the bowl’s six walls in its entirety as shredded by Spencer on a wet Tuesday. Thanks to SPoT for their years of support, and thanks to them especially for making this legendary and absolutely dialed bowl.
