Woodward Camp: The Counselors that make it happen.
Posted on
Woodward is nothing short of a bmx utopia. And every year I’m given the honor of being able to visit for a week. Despite three days of rain, we were able to take shelter in the tunnel system of indoor ramps that litter the camp. Luckily though, by day 4, I was able to get outside to take advantage of the magical PA. light. While there, I met up with some old friends, and made some new ones. This is a collection of photos of the riders/counselors that help make camp a dialed place to visit.
Thanks to Woodward for their continued support of the FL-Bmx series. Looking forward to visiting next year.

Zach Zeuschel. Suicide in The Cage.Al Farrugia is from Canada which holds the most “nice” people on earth. He’s no different. Here’s a super positive X-up seat grab at The Rock.Cade Wall is really, really good. But of all the wild things he pulled, I liked the photo of this simple peg chink over the hip at The Rock. Keep an eye on this dude.Mykel Larrin. Of all the wild things I saw during our week at Woodward, this took gold. In the forklift is Nate Wessel holding up a cement grind ledge. Mykel gapped from the red Woodward symbol to that narrow and short grind ledge and then bunnyhop whipped into that PA symbol. The PA symbol was a bike length long. Absolutely incredible, all at night with minimal lighting.Zach Zeuschel. Tabe out of a ramp with more vert than transition. Zach told me on several occasions: “I just love to ride my bike.” No exaggeration there at all.Jay Dalton. One of the most underrated and incredible riders I’ve met. And to be honest, I don’t think he cares. Lookback in the clouds.Riley Sanders. OKC by winter, Woodward by summer. Time is not slowing him down.Jeff Purdy. All around bad ass. Table sans hand at the Target Plaza.
